Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club

Thank you for your interest in the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club Community Grants Program. Part of our club’s mission is to support local organizations that assist people in need and community service endeavors in the Georgetown and Millsboro areas.  The Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club is comprised of business professionals in these two communities who believe in “Service Above Self” and are dedicated to supporting deserving organizations.

Grant Program Guidelines:

• There are two grant cycles per calendar year: Spring/April and Fall/November
• Grants are awarded to programs that serve the Georgetown and Millsboro areas
• Grant requests typically range between $500 and $5000
• Beneficiaries must be IRS-recognized tax-exempt, non-profit organizations
• Funds will be distributed to organizations that support:

          - (1) Programs that assist the disadvantaged

          - (2) Community service endeavors

• Grants will not be awarded to:

          -  Individuals

          -  Political associations or candidates

          -  Organizations that provide funding to other organizations or agencies.

          -  Organizations that discriminate by race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age,

                    religion, disability or national origin

          -   Bricks and mortar and similar building/construction projects

• Grant applications are limited to two pages plus appropriate attachments. Incomplete applications will not be considered
• The Grants committee may recommend: approval, defer or decline a proposal and/or suggest awarding an amount different from the original request based on the        funds available. The Board of Directors will make final grant decisions
• Grant recipients will be required to submit a brief report within one year.

• Grants will be awarded on a one time only basis.  Organizations may submit a new application in subsequent years.

Grant applications must be received by:   March 31 for the Spring Cycle or October 31 for the Fall Cycle
